Normally, this time of year is filled with spring training, pool parties and spending as much time outside as possible. Since we’ve all been under quarantine, my normally tan skin is looking a shade of ghostly pale.
I decided to finally try self tanner out. I know what you’re thinking. How have you never tried self tanner before? Well, I’ve been blessed with a Hispanic/Italian heritage that always leaves me with a sun-kissed glow. So when I was texting a friend about what to add to my Sephora order she kindly suggested a self tanner. I took to Instagram to ask all of you your top picks. The winners were St. Tropez & Tan Luxe; however, I’m ballin’ on a budget right now and decided to research drugstore alternatives. This L’Oreal water mousse was only $12 and the results (for my experience) were just what I wanted! I’m going to share my pros and cons below and link all of the recommendations I received!
Pros:
- Affordable: It is only $12
- Easy application: No mitt required
- Smell: I loved the smell of this
- Subtle glow: The color is just the right glow
Cons:
- Clear application: This makes it difficult to see where you have applied.
- Sticky: Before you rinse off, you have to deal with some all over stickiness.
