After hearing some feedback from my readers, I have decided to continue doing these “before meets After” posts. I feel it is my duty as a blogger to give my readers my inside secrets of wearing thrifted items.
Before:
This dress was formerly a romper but did nothing for my body, so I took the seam out and turned it into a dress. However, it was still a baggy mess.
After:
The greatest secret of making a baggy garment more fitting is belts. The best place to find cheap, adorable belts is goodwill. Trust me, no luck is required to find a stylish cheap belt there. Most of them run for $1.50 which is much better than full price alternatives.
I almost always wear a cardigan with this dress and push the sleeves up because the armpit of the dress is super baggy on me. The cardigan pulls the whole look together.
